OUR MISSION

The Great Canadian Legal Civil & Political Rights PowerShift Revolution

The PowerShift to Freedom

Uniting the Citizens and Indigenous People of Canada as one collective Head of State with final decision-making authority within the law of our land, our Constitution. Wherein we become the Collective Crown which acts as the core, or “the most basic building block”, of a true Canadian Democracy within Parliament.

Phase 1

Correcting the Past

Phase 2

Powershifting

Phase 3

Quiet Democratic Revolution

PHASE 1

Correcting the Past

The responsibility of correcting the Canadian Constitution and respecting International Laws and universal rights, which Canada has signed, falls upon the UK and the Canadian Parliaments. In addition, the Courts must uphold both the Constitution and the International Laws under the Rule of Law Principles (principles that protect the people from governments that create seemingly arbitrary laws that are neither based on the Rule of Law, nor on protecting the people).

A request for assistance with final corrections to the Canada Act 1982 was addressed to the United Kingdom on March 3, 2022.

During January 2022, a most impressive convoy – enough to inspire countries halfway around the planet – saw the light of day from coast to coast. Its goal: to stop all mandates forced upon Canadians. As it started to make its way from Bristish Columbia and Prince-Edward-Island to Ottawa, the convoy grew; its supporters of all types and from all walks of life converged onto this historic movement. Millions of people peacefully demonstrated their enthusiasm and support by showing up to cheer from overpasses and the side of the road as it rolled by.

The convoy’s concerns to stop the mandates were ignored by the government. Remaining hopeful for and awaiting a parley with public officials, they stayed in front of Parliament Hill, Ottawa, for three weeks before being discourteously escorted away in an unnecessary show of force on the part of police officers and the RCMP.

Since then, one thing has been undeniable: Canadians and Indigenous Peoples want change and have hope that justice and peace will be restored to their society.

This was the green light Nicole Lebrasseur, C.E.O. of The Canadian Peoples’ Union NFP, needed. The popular support of the trucker convoy helped her project, The PowerShift to Freedom, make its way to the United Kingdom.

An official request for a constitutional correction – not an amendment, but rather a legal and lawful correction – was served to Elizabeth Truss, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, on March 3, 2022. (link to uk letter) The 13-page document clearly outlines the many problems that have been left unattended in Canada for almost a century. Unfortunately, the violence that ended the trucker convoy in Ottawa and the invocation of the Emergencies Act by the Trudeau Government, on February 14, 2022, were blatant signs that Canada’s democracy has been suffering for a long time.

On July 30, 2022, in Ottawa, the C.P.U. and its supporters stood up and activated our collective political and civil rights, which was a first step in initiating a dialogue with the UK and the Canadian governments. Prior to 2022, the C.P.U. had also written to Minister of Justice David Lametti and various other officials hoping to shed light on the neglected state of democracy in Canada. PHASE 2

PowerShifting

Following the United Kingdom’s collaboration – or with the success of necessary court actions- “The PowerShift” of executive power from the political elite to the collective people, as the final decision-makers, would bring our democracy into the 21st century.

Communities could implement an appropriate form of democracy where solutions to problems would be addressed and then implemented by the government.

Having control over:

  • our policies;
  • our economy;
  • our natural resources;
  • our infrastructures;

would greatly empower citizens and Indigenous Peoples, embodying the real positive change so many of us desire. The citizens, along with the Indigenous Peoples, as the Collective Head of State would lawfully rule Canada together.

PHASE 3

The Quiet Democratic Revolution in Canada

What would happen after we win?

The collective people would oversee the governance of their country 365 days a year. Canada could finally use democratic types benefitting its people such as: policy democracy, community democracy, direct democracy, participatory democracy… rather than the current parliamentary democracy, which is a democracy for parliamentarians only. Canadians and Indigenous Peoples would need to take individual responsibility to move from apathetic voters to becoming informed and involved.

The politicians of today, holding all the power without responsibility, would shift to working for the people in their respective constituency. Party priorities, as Prof. Lyon puts it in his book, would be replaced by priorities that citizens and their representatives would develop together.

Politicians would not be the sole decision-makers as in Partocracy: the decisions would be in the hands of communities making their needs known, and from there, policy would be determined.

Finally, true transparency of decisions and subsequent actions would be a historical moment for Canada and its citizens, reflecting a nation that is informed and involved in its decision-making process.

The Economic and Social Benefits of a
New and Fair Democracy

Economical and Social Benefits

Opportunities to be involved in political affairs would be common, and anyone who is interested would have the chance to take part in a citizen committee influenced by the communities. Citizens and Indigenous Peoples as “governors” could act on social and economic projects that have been only dreams for far too long: healthcare, education, environmental projects, etc.

In fact, almost all aspects of life in Canada would be enriched by giving the people the means to deliberate with their representatives and ensure that the government would then follow the community’s agenda. This system, or other types chosen by the people, would be important in this century and would even encourage the evolution of an engaged citizenry.

From generation to generation, it would foster collaboration with the government, who could assist the communities in confronting new challenges as they would arise.

What is the CPU?

The Canadian Peoples’ Union NFP (not for profit) is not a labour union nor political party. It is a union of Canadian Citizens and Indigenous Peoples who are exercising their collective civil and political rights.

As a reaction to the launch of the New World Order (Global Government) in 2017, the Canadian Peoples’ Union NFP was founded and incorporated.

Nicole Lebrasseur is the CEO of the Canadian Peoples’ Union and head legal researcher. Since 2008, Nicole discovered how our elites robbed us of our rights. Also on the board of directors are Denis Lamothe, CFO, and Barb Garlow, director.

Becoming a formal member of the C.P.U. means you become a political game-changer, with the purpose of placing the civil and political rights power to the citizens through the PowerShift to Freedom movement. Your contribution helps finance the legal teams and expenses that will inevitably be necessary to set things right.

What is the PowerShift ?

The PowerShift is about shifting power from party elites to informed citizens and Indigenous Peoples collectively as final decision-makers with VETO power on all decisions affecting us at every level of governance. This movement belongs to all of us in Canada, not just to the CPU and its volunteers.

What is the Convention of Consent?

Prior to the creation of the C.P.U., in 2014, Nicole created the key to transitioning from Partocracy and parliamentary democracy to another type that would be chosen by the people.

While The PowerShift’s legal researchers are hard at work, a key action that concerns the rest of us is the ''Indigenous and Civil Unified Sovereign Enactment Convention of Consent''. This is a living document to be signed by all Canadian and Indigenous Peoples 15 years old and over who want our combined rights to be lawfully recognized in our Constitution.

The Convention of Consent is

  • free
  • completely confidential (contrary to petitions)
  • and will become legally binding once it reaches 51% of the citizens in 7 provinces.

Signing it is the ultimate way to show the government and the world how much we want our VETO rights over our government and ensure our safe and prosperous future. It is important to remind ourselves that our rights over our natural resources and the profits they generate are also among the many things that the government is stealing from us. The citizens should be duly recognized as the primary legal shareholders and co-owners of these Canadian resources.

I-ACUSE stands for “Indigenous And Civil Unified Sovereign Enactment”.

A legally binding contract between Canadian Citizens and Indigenous Peoples, showing that we want our rights recognized and rightfully entrenched in our Constitution.

Electronic signatures are legal in Canada.

What is True Freedom?

True Freedom can only be achieved once the people are legally in power over government. Canadian history includes a few instances when Canadians and Indigenous Peoples were given the right to legally and collectively rule over their government.

What is Open Government?

OPEN GOVERNMENT is a system SUPPOSEDLY designed to make government more accessible so everyone can participate. It has been created by our government to facilitate the New World Order and, in the wrong hands, it can be detrimental to our society.

However, the collective people, as final decision-makers, could use the structure of Open Government to facilitate the transition towards healthier types of democracies.

Our collective civil and political rights plus the structure of Open Government and proper referendums with the people monitoring the results.

Structured properly it would a useful tool to achieve a true democracy where the people would have a voice and be the final decision-makers!

What's in it for me?

  1. Put an immediate stop to globalization by officially correcting the Canada Act 1982 that is still in the United Kingdom.
  2. Restructure our society with the COLLECTIVE people as the legal shareholders and co-owners of Canada.
  3. Legally take our place as Collective Head of State, above our government, which would be a creative, courageous and important innovation.
  4. Become world leaders in this evolution towards peace, order and good governance along with every Canadian citizen and Indigenous Peoples.
  5. Improve all aspects of life in Canada!

Why should I get involved now?

Our way of life is disappearing as our freedoms are being stripped away unless we ALL say:

  • NO MORE political corruption and self interest
  • NO MORE unaccountability of politicians, civil servants and corporations
  • NO MORE protection against liability for malfeasance
  • NO MORE lies perpetrated by our governments and reinforced by main stream media
  • NO MORE trampling on our political and civil rights
  • NO MORE mandates or decrees without true unbiased evidence and open, honest debates
  • NO MORE corporate agendas dictating government policies
  • NO MORE threats to the health and well-being of our elderly and our children
